Raw materials, goods and equipment

The plan must distinguish stock from fixed assets. For materials, we agree measurement units and quantity methods; for equipment, identifiers and locations. Work in progress needs a separate methodology reflecting the production process.

Preparing production areas

Together with the customer, we define areas, asset access, safety rules and escorts. Raw material movements between storage and production, finished goods output and transfers must be agreed for the counting period.

Inventory stages

We first agree the methodology and reconciliation data, then carry out the physical count. Discrepancies are checked under the agreed controls. Once results are agreed, we deliver reports in the required format.

Using the results

Up-to-date stock figures support purchasing and production planning. Discrepancies may reveal receiving, transfer or material write-off errors. Causes are established through documents and actual data, not the final difference alone.

How to book stocktaking

  1. Tell us the site type, location and approximate volume of goods or assets.
  2. Agree the methodology, data exchange, timing and reports.
  3. Prepare the site and master lists; arrange a trial count if needed.
  4. Receive the count and verification results.
